Concrete mould/Shuttering release agent

Greeno Lease WB is a water-reducible concrete mould release agent formulated to provide superior release properties compared to conventional mould oils. This specially blended mixture of mineral oils and chemicals reacts with the alkali in concrete to create a thin water-repellent layer on the mould surface, facilitating easy stripping from concrete and offering protection to steel and wooden formwork.

PROCEDURE OF APPLICATION

Apply Greeno Lease WB preferably with a low-pressure sprayer to achieve the quoted spread rates. Brush application is also acceptable but ensure thorough brushing for economical and effective results. Treat formwork before erection to prevent reinforcement contamination. Reapply before each use, with reapplication needed after exposure to weather conditions exceeding two weeks for timber forms and three weeks for steel forms.

PROCEDURE OF APPLICATION

Greeno Lease OB is ready for use and should not be thinned, as this will affect its properties. Apply in a thin and even coat preferably by spray. For unsealed timber formwork, apply a sealing coat followed by a second coat prior to concrete placement. Excess should be wiped off, and the applied film should be protected from rain until dry. Sponge rubber applicators can also be used, but thick application should be avoided to prevent surface dusting.

Before use, formwork should be cleaned and scrubbed with a 50% mixture of Greeno Lease OB and kerosene.

COVERAGE

25 - 60 m² per liter depending on the type of form, porosity, texture of the surface, and ambient temperature. (e.g., Steel formwork – 40-60 m²/ltr, wood formwork – 25-30 m²/ltr)
